Michael Foxington, Love is Wet (Art (ATEP 2017))

Love is Wet - This short series is about three types of relationships. The relationships between colour, the relationships between people, and the relationships between images when paired. The image pairings represent a relationship of the exterior and interior, the seen and unseen. A comparison of thought and feeling. There is a discomfort in discussing certain things, by producing vivid colourful images with these taboos as their subtext, it invites people to see beneath the surface and think about what they are looking at and why. The story is not one specific story, instead it is told through veiled layers of symbolism, metaphor and euphemisms to allow the viewer to project and reflect.
