BenQ becomes Pantone SkinTone validated

BenQ has become the world’s first manufacturer of stand-alone displays to achieve Pantone SkinTone Validation for selected models.

First launched in January, Pantone SkinTone Validation assures 'colour professionals that certified devices comply with the Pantone Matching System (PMS) and accurately reproduce lifelike skin tones to represent equality and inclusivity for all consumers.'

The program is the world’s first testing and validation program with a US patent pending for testing methodology.

The program comprises 110 discrete skin tones based on thousands of human skin measurements from a diverse range of ethnicities and age groups.

BenQ achieved Pantone Validated for PMS Colors on select DesignVue PD and PhotoVue SW Models and Pantone SkinTone Validated for DesignVue PD3205U and PD2705U models, with select PhotoVue SW models (SW240 and SW321C) anticipated to follow.
