The latest release in the Leica M-mount series of lenses is the Leica APO-Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH. The 35mm lens is Leica's most compact version at just 40.9mm in length (49.3mm with lens hood attached).
Ideal for a variety of uses, including street photography and low-light settings, the lens is also the perfect choice for close-up photography, offering a minimum focusing distance of just 30cm, closer than all previous M-lenses.
The compact APO-Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH. features ten lens elements in five groups. Of the elements, three are aspherical lenses (one dual-sided) and six feature 'anomalous dispersion' glass to help manage chromatic aberration. The aperture diaphragm is an 11-bladed design for improved bokeh.
A screw-on metal hood, thread protection ring, rear cap, and Nappa leather lens case are included, and the lens is threaded for 39mm filters.
