The Leica CL is a compact, sleek, mirrorless digital camera offering intuitive control and a versatile range of imaging capabilities. Relying on 24.2 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and Maestro II image processor, the CL can capture stills at up to 10fps along with UHD 4K/30p video. It offers a sensitivity range of ISO 100–50,000.
An electronic shutter function permits totally silent operation along with shutter speeds up to 1/25,000 sec (mechanical shutter – 1/8,000 sec), and the 49-point contrast-detection autofocus system is quick and accurate. The camera also features a 2.36m-dot EVF and a rear 3-inch 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD. The top plate features its own LCD for quick settings review. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows wireless sharing and remote camera control from a linked mobile device. The CL features an L-bayonet mount.
