It's a no-brainer when it comes to shooting RAW over JPG. But when it comes to choosing between editing software for professionals, it really comes down to either Capture One or Lightroom Classic.
Capture One users may tell you that they get more filmic results, find it better to tether with and have more subtle controls. Lightroom users will tell you that you get similar results, the new AI layer masks are brilliant, and the 'start to finish' comprehensive software in the Adobe photographer plan is an excellent deal for professionals and amateurs alike.
