Sony RX100 V
The Sony RX100 V features a newly developed 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS 20.1 megapixel sensor. With 315 AF points covering approximately 65% of the frame, Sony claims its hybrid AF system offers the world’s fastest AF acquisition at 0.05 seconds. The camera can also shoot continuously at speeds of up to 24 fps. The ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70 mm f/1.8–2.8 is coupled with an enhanced image processing system with a new front-end LSI chip that maximises processing speed, expands the memory buffer, and optimises image quality, in particular at high ISO settings.
Video capture at 4k resolution is possible, as is super slow motion recording at up to 1000 fps. The high-speed, anti-distortion shutter has a maximum shutter speed of 1/32,000 sec. The pocket-sized RX100 V sports a high-contrast 2.35 million dot XGA OLED viewfinder, and is Wi-Fi and NFC compatible. For those venturing beneath the surface, a new underwater housing will soon be available, with a maximum depth of 40m.
