A private tour to see how Kodak makes 35mm film

Photographer George Muncey and the guys at Negative Feedback were recently given a very special, private tour of the sprawling headquarters and film factory of Kodak, in Rochester, New York. The 12.5 minute video of the tour gives an overview of the facility and provides glimpses of the film manufacturing process. The factory has the capacity to produce up to 50,000 rolls of 35mm film every day, although it’s likely the company is not producing quite so much these days.

If you’ve ever been curious to learn how 35mm stock is produced, this is compulsory viewing.
