In a world gripped by 'go big or get out', one man had a bold idea. Go small. Never has there been a more reluctant hero of his own story. You will never know this old orchardist's name because he prefers to remain anonymous. You will hardly get a good look at his face. But in a quiet triumph of risk and innovation, he has done what few can claim: he created something original. At 75, he insists the moral of a lifetime spent inventing a tiny apple that no-one knows about is 'don't give up your day job'. But it could be, 'never stop searching'.
Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers is the region's main platform for discovering and showcasing photographers at the outset of their careers. The competition is open to emerging, student, and amateur photographers.
