Tim Wrate’s entry in Australasia’s Top Emerging Photographers 2019, Above, is a featured portfolio, and appears in the Landscape category.
Wrate's series, Above, is an aerial photographic exploration of the colours, textures, and patterns of the Shark Bay World Heritage area. He captures the images at heights of between 500 and 1,500 feet in a Cessna. "The images explore the diverse landscapes from wind-blown sand dunes, to the rich patchwork of mangrove and explosion of colours and patterns in the shallow waters as they scythe through the ancient desert," he says.
Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers is the region's main platform for discovering and showcasing work of photographers at the outset of their journey in the medium.
