Sony Alpha Awards call for entries

The call for entries for the Sony Alpha Awards is now open for amateur and professional photographers, with the prize for the overall winner of $3,000 of Sony product and a photography ‘trip of a lifetime’ to Tanzania, with World Photo Adventures, up for grabs. Category winners are vying for $2,000 of Sony gear. With awards being offered in eight categories, images must be captured on Sony Alpha cameras and lesnes.

Those entering the seven adult categories can submit up to five photos through the Sony Alpha Awards website. The Youth category, introduced last year, will now be run as a stand-alone competition. For the adult categories, 21 finalists (3 from each category) will be chosen by Sony Digital Imaging Global Ambassadors and professional photographers, Mark Galer and Craig Parry.

Finalists from all categories will be invited to attend the Sony Alpha Awards ceremony on 26April 2018 in Sydney where the winners will be announced.

Submissions will close on 2 April 2018.
