Sony Alpha Awards winners announced

The winners in the fourth annual Sony Alpha Awards were recently announced in Sydney. The competition, designed to showcase the best imagery captured using the Sony Alpha camera range, received over 4,000 images from professional and amateur photographers across Australia and New Zealand.

In 2019, the competition introduced four new categories – Seascape, Astrophotography, Wedding, and City/Street – alongside the existing categories of Portrait, Landscape, Nature, Sport, and Youth.

The category winners each received A$2,000 worth of Sony camera gear, while the Grand Prize Winner received Sony camera gear to the value of A$10,000.

Grand Prize: James Muir
