After a hugely successful launch of The Other Art Fair Australia’s first edition in 2015, it will again be returning to Sydney this October. The Fair provides a unique platform for incredible emerging or unrepresented artists of all disciplines to showcase work to gallerists, curators, and collectors. In addition, the four-day fair enables artists to launch themselves in the contemporary art world, gain invaluable feedback, and connect with fellow artists and clients.
The fair will greatly champion photography as a visual art form and application for photographers across all genres are open until 11 July, 2016. With the appointment of a new international Fair Director, this year promises to herald a new vision with the focus on making art more accessible. Integral to the new approach, is an esteemed selection committee, on par with London’s committee led by Tracey Emin CBE. Her involvement was paramount to ensuring a high standard of diverse artists featured. The support of these high profile individuals is a testament to the positioning of the Fair as a valuable platform in the contemporary art scene.
