2021 Sony Alpha Awards winners revealed
The winners of the 6th annual Sony Alpha Awards have recently been announced across 11 categories, along with the Grand Prize winner. The competition recognises Australian and New Zealand photographers whose work has been captured on Sony Alpha cameras and lenses.
© Matt Beaver. Grand Prize winner. The Fog . A farmer checks the paddocks in the early morning fog. This year, Australian Matt Beaver took out top honours winning the Grand Prize, and beating over 4,900 images entered with The Fog. As overal winner, he takes home $10,000 worth of Sony camera gear. Category winners each receive $2,000 worth of Sony gear.
The shortlisted entries were selected by a panel of 24 judges, while the Grand Prize winner was chosen from the finalists by Scott Gray, CEO of the World Photography Organisation.
