Today at Adobe MAX Japan 2025 held at Tokyo Big Sight, several interesting updates were revealed to Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Adobe Camera RAW. 

Adobe Camera Raw & Lightroom: AI-Powered Editing
  • Adaptive Profiles (Now available in all Lightroom versions & Camera Raw) – AI-powered profiles automatically adjust tones and colours for realistic HDR enhancements.
  • Distraction Removal (Early Access in Camera Raw, coming soon to Lightroom) – Quickly removes unwanted people and distractions, making complex edits effortless.

Lightroom on the Web: Smarter Photo Organization
  • Find Duplicates (Early Access) – Helps identify and remove redundant and unwanted images via the new Clean Up tool.
Lightroom Classic: Streamlined Tethered Shooting & Performance Boosts
  • Focus Point Selection – Easily set focus points during tethered live view sessions for supported Sony, Nikon, and Canon cameras.
  • Performance Enhancements – Faster mask brushing, cropping, and white balance adjustments.
  • Quickview Catalog Backup Locations & New Camera/Lens Support
Lightroom Mobile: Improved Sharing & AI Masking
  • Faster Sharing – Share links generate 4X faster, with improved copy/share options and real-time customisation previews.
  • AI Select Background – Enables background adjustments directly on mobile without needing a desktop.
Lightroom: Dual Monitor Support
  • Expand your workspace by using Lightroom across two screens for a more efficient editing workflow.
