DJI launches Mini 4K drone
DJI has launched the Mini 4K (another) new compact drone from the Chinese-company and one that's capable of shooting 4K video at up to 30 frames per second and 2.7K/60p footage.
The Mini 4K comes with a three-axis gimbal, and a lens that allows for 2x digital zoom, even at 4K resolution.
Compared to the DJI Mini 4 Pro, another similar drone we reviewed in October, the new Mini 4K loses the 4K/60p HDR video recording and 20-kilometer FHD transmission range of its more expensive sibling.
The DJI Mini 4K can reach 4,000 meters in altitude and offers a range of up to 10 kilometers, although users will likely never reach these limits as drones must be kept in line-of-sight at all times (and don't you forget it!)
The Mini 4K can fly at up to 16 meters per second, and take to the skies for up to 31 minutes with its out-of-the-box battery, although it can fly for over an hour and a half with DJI’s Fly More bundle.
In addition, the drone features a host of capture and flying modes such as Helix, Dronie, Rocket, Circle, Boomerang, and Panorama.
No local pricing or availability has been announced yet, but in the States the Mini 4K will retail for $299 ($455 AUD).
