Flying in hot on the heels of this months DJI Inspire 3 launch comes the new DJI Mavic Pro 3.

While the DJI Mini Pro 3 (249g AUD$1,119) is great for entry level photography & video and the DJI Inspire 3 (3,995g AUD$20,500) is more pro film maker, the Mavic Pro 3 is happy to live in the middle ground weighing in at around 960g and costing between AUD$3,099 to AUD$6,939.

There are slight physical differences with an increase in size and weight over it's predecessor, the Mavic 2 Pro, as well as an increased flight time going from 31 minutes to 43 minutes.

But the most interesting upgrade is that there is now three camera / lens combos instead of one:

24mm f/2.8-f/11 Wide: 4/3 CMOS, Effective Pixels: 20MP

70mm f/2.8 Medium: 1/1.3-inch CMOS, Effective Pixels: 48MP

166mm f/3.4 Tele: 1/2-inch CMOS, Effective Pixels: 12MP

The ‘star’ of these 3 camera / lens setups is the branded ‘Hasselblad Camera’ which has the physically largest sensor (larger photosites for better low light and dynamic range), the ability to change aperture and shoots 12-bit RAW with 12.8 stops of dynamic range. On the video side, the Hasselblad Camera has the ability to shoot 5.1K video at 50fps or 4K @ 120fps, while the other 2 cameras top out at 4K 60fps.
The other telephoto lenses are perfect for either compressing the backgrounds of images or being able to get closer to wildlife without compromising their safety.

Another interesting version of the Mavic Pro 3 is the 'Mavic Pro 3 Cine' which is basically the same, but with a 1TB built in SSD and tri-camera support for Apple ProRes 422/422 HQ/422 LT codecs.

Both the DJI Mavic 3 Pro and the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine are available for sale on the DJI website.
