DPReview to cease operations

After 25 years of operations, DPReview will close on the 10th of April 2023.

Digital Photography Review (aka DPReview) is well regarded in the industry for its extremely in depth reviews of cameras and lenses. It also hosted the well loved Discussion Forums which has nearly 47.5 million posts to date.

Originally established in England in 1998, it was purchased by Amazon in 2007 and moved HQ to the US city of Seattle.

As the COVID pandemic has dissipated and Amazon's profits have fallen, they looked to shed up to 27,000 employees which sadly included DPreview's 11 staff. 

Sadder still is that a valuable historic database of camera equipment will also be deleted!
