Getty Images shares the Top 25 photos from the Tokyo Olympics

As official photographic agency of the International Olympic Committee, Getty Images covered a total of 339 events at the Tokyo 2020 games, with a team of over 100, including 48 specialist sports photographers. It included four from Australia and New Zealand – Cameron Spencer (Athletics), Adam Pretty (Weightlifting), Phil Walter (Sailing & Marathon/Walk Race), and Ryan Pierse (Surfing & Athletics).

Each photographer was equipped with four camera bodies, two flash units, and a variety of lenses, along with robotic and remote cameras. During the Games, they captured an astounding 2 million images, with 5,000 images each day uploaded to the Getty Images website.
