Heritage Bank announces winners of 34th annual Photographic Awards

The results of the 34th annual Heritage Bank Photographic Awards have recently been announced with winners sharing in a prize pool of $50,000. This year the competition attracted over 2,300 entries from around Australia. Tasmanian photographer Ray Jennings was named overall winner in the Open category for his image, Don’t fence me in, captured near Walcha, a town on the Northern Tablelands of the New England region in New South Wales. He takes home a prize of $15,000.

Heritage has acquired the top five winning entries in the following categories: Open, Themed, Illustrative, CEO’s Choice, and Mobile. The images have become part of its corporate art collection.

In the Themed category, "Belonging", Queenslander Sue Mayer-Miller was named the overall winner, taking home the $15,000 prize for her image, Unconditional.

Sandra McEwan was named winner of the Mobile Phone Award, while Sydney’s Simone Osborne was named winner of the Illustrative category for digitally-manipulated image, Red Riding Hood. Callie Chee was selected as CEO’s Choice for her image, Refuge.
