Originally established as an optics company in 1869 under the name Leitz, Leica has recently expanded its luxury camera brand to include other products like watches, sports optics, and now – cinema TVs.
Looking like a cross between an elegant elongated aluminium perforated Mac Studio, and a futuristic speaker on steroids, this projector comes in two sizes – 100 and 120 inch. The built-in speakers, with 50W power output and Dolby Atmos compatibility, project sound to create an immersive surround sound experience according to reports.
The top of the aluminium box slides back to reveals a Leica Summicron lens that projects images in 4K via RGB-laser light up to 3,000 ANSI Lumens.
To aid in viewing, you can purchase special Leica screens available in 80", 100", and 120" sizes to help absorb scattered light and enhance contrast.
The Cine 1 in 100" and 120" sizes can be purchased now for $13,999 and $14,999 respectively.
