Logitech launches $350 MX Creative Console
Following its purchase of Loupedeck last year, Logitech has released the new MX Creative Console, designed specifically to speed up workflows and automate repetitive tasks in creative software like Adobe's Photoshop.
The device, which was developed in partnership with Adobe, comes in two separate parts: a keypad with dynamic display keys to access and trigger important actions, and a customisable 'dialpad' that serves as an analog navigation controller.
The Adobe collab extends into the plugins for the device too - with tailored plugins for Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Illustrator.
The device also supports AI capabilities such as Adobe Photoshop's Generative Fill and Adobe Premiere Pro's Text-Based Editing.
The device is inherently customisable via Logitech's Creative Console app, with a drag and drop interface allowing certain tasks to be mapped onto the buttons for each app. It's a handy feature that should help automate repetitive tasks and save memorising keyboard shortcuts.
The unit is constructed using 72% post-consumer recycled plastic for the Graphite model and aluminium produced with renewable energy. Logitech says the packaging comprises FSC-certified paper, and the device also includes micro-textures instead of paint, all helping reduce the device's carbon footprint.
The MX Creative Console in pale grey and graphite is available for pre-order today and will start shipping on October 14th, 2024 for $349.95 on www.logitech.com and at other selected retailers.
In addition, each device also comes with a complimentary three-month Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps membership.
