Sony teases flagship a1 II

Sony's newest flagship is coming, with a teaser for the a1 II being announced by the company.

A teaser video reveals that the a1 II will debut at a special event on November 20 at 12.30 AEST.

We know nothing about the new flagship full frame camera, although it is expected to inherit some of the camera tech that underpinned last year's A9 III. Whether this means the global shutter that was the standout feature of that camera remains to be seen.

At its release in 2021, we were hugely impressed with the original A1, although its $10,000+ pricetag put it squarely in a bracket out of reach for many photographers.
