Winners have recently been announced for the 15th annual iPhone Photography Awards. The 2022 Grand Prize Winner was Antonio Denti (Italy), named the Photographer of the Year for his image, The Kid of Mosul, which captured a moment of tenderness in the dusty rubble of war. It was shot on an iPhone 11.

Rachel Seda of Sweden received First Place for Photographer of the Year with her image, Anti-Social Distancing, which turns masking up into an act of theatre. Her image was shot on iPhone 12 Pro.

American photographer Kelly Dallas took out Second Place for his Photographer of the Year with his image, Girl with the Violin, shot on iPhone 13 Pro.

Meanwhile, Australian photographer Glenn Homann came in Third in the Photographer of the Year category with his image, Wasted. It was shot on an iPhone 11 Pro. Homann was also a finalist in the Portrait category. In 2021, he took out the Abstract category and was Second in the Environment category. Another Australian, William Ainger, took out 3rd Place in the Abstract category.

Top three placing were also awarded across an additional 16 categories to photographers from all over the world. One jury member, Whitney Van Nes stated: "With images that appreciate the sublime and the beautiful, this year’s winning photographers share a strength of spirit in the face of our unnerving world. Congratulations to all the winners and your awareness in the moment that life is happening."
