Tokina release 9 new T1.5 Vista-C Cine Prime lenses
Tokina has reimagined its popular Vista series with the launch of the Vista-C Cine Prime T1.5 lenses, offering a fusion of vintage aesthetics and contemporary performance.
These newly structured lenses feature an updated optical formula that are meant to deliver a smooth, gentle fall-off from subject to foreground, reminiscent of classic cinema lenses. Enhanced flare control with warm colour tones further adds to their vintage appeal while maintaining modern optical precision.
The Vista-C Cine Primes with their fast T1.5 aperture, enable shooting in low light, with extremely shallow depth of field, with nearly zero focus breathing.
Newly developed coatings introduce red and blue hues to flares, moving away from the green tones found in the standard Vista series and other contemporary lenses. The image circle supports up to 65mm large format sensors, maximising flare effects and expanding creative possibilities for cinematographers.
All lenses feature an Arri PL (Positive Lock) mount, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of professional cinema cameras. While designed primarily for Arri cameras, they can also be used with Sony, Canon, RED, Blackmagic, and Fujifilm cameras when paired with the appropriate PL mount adapter or when using models that support interchangeable lens mounts.
