Last week, Leica inaugurated its largest store in the world at 267 Lt Collins St, Melbourne – a project years in the making. This four-storey, new-format retail space marks Leica’s third store in Australia.
The expansive new location offers a variety of experiences for visitors. The first floor houses a retail store and a full café, creating a welcoming environment to hangout in. The second floor features a photographic gallery, while the third floor includes a private photo studio and an academy room for workshops. The fourth floor provides a rooftop area with views of the city skyline.
Designed with an architectural focus, the store's interiors are influenced by Scandinavian style, featuring heritage-style art deco windows and a grand double-height entry leading to the mezzanine photographic gallery. This gallery will showcase new artists' works quarterly, currently displaying ‘Colours of Antarctica’ by acclaimed photographer and Leica Ambassador, Stuart Robertson.
The new Leica store offers a fresh retail destination for Melbournians and visitors, located in the heart of the CBD. It showcases Leica's full range of cameras, lenses, and sport optics, catering to enthusiasts, professionals, and newcomers alike. Guests are encouraged to explore and test all Leica products at their leisure, with hands-on displays and knowledgeable staff available to provide detailed advice, product demonstrations, tips, and recommendations.
