Australasia’s Top Wedding Photographers 2022: Top 20 Single Shot category

The second annual edition of Australasia's Top Wedding Photographers was judged by a stellar line-up of some of the world's finest wedding photographers.

The winner of the Single Shot category receives $3,000 and a Sony Alpha 7 IV camera valued at $3,988, while the winner of the Portfolio category takes home $3,000, a Sony Alpha 7 IV camera valued at $3,988, and a Momento Pro print credit of $650.

The runner-up of the Single Shot category receives $500 cash and a BenQ photography monitor valued $799 while the Portfolio category runner-up takes home $500 cash and a Momento Pro print credit of $350.

In life, sometimes the simple things are often the best. This image is a perfect reflection of this. Simply photographed through
frosted glass, my couple are stripped of all identity, yet the strength of their love is amplified. You can see the connection of their
hands all the way up to the shoulders creates an abstract heart shape which leads your eye to faces that are about to kiss. Using
black and white also allowed me to paint with tones which highlights the expressions on their faces, giving a mysterious mood.
This lets the viewer come up with their own interpretation of love.
