Aaron Harrison, A starry night (SINGLE SHOT 2023)
A perfect night in the Adelaide Hills! After what seemed like months of cloudy nights, I managed to head out on a spring evening with almost no clouds and a new moon - ideal conditions for shooting the stars. Wildflowers had grown abundant due to the wet winter and spring were a little difficult to navigate around in the dark, but have provided a nice foreground to this image. I like how I have captured the constellations of Orion and Pleiades, as well as the red planet of Mars, framing this beautiful old Hall, now a ruin in the Adelaide Hills. A star glow filter has also been used to make the stars "pop", enhancing the colours and beauty of the image.
