Wei Hong Liu, A Vanishing Moment Over Lake Tōya (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

On the snow-covered hillside behind The Windsor Hotel, my wife and I witnessed a rare and fleeting sight. As the afternoon clouds briefly parted, the mountain in the middle of Lake Tōya emerged, illuminated by the first hues of sunset. Knowing this view wouldn’t last, I quickly grabbed my camera and captured the moment—one that never appeared again that day. A perfect yet ephemeral glimpse of nature’s beauty, now preserved in this frame.
