This is an image of performer and social commentator Barry Solomon as his archetypal character Mrs Barb Wire. Barb is an icon in Brunswick and Fitzroy where she has been doing Impromptu performances in pubs and cafes for more than 25 years. During covid Barry turned his skills to interior design creating the gold room Barb is photographed in. Barry has recently been diagnosed with early stage dementia and is considering retiring Barb.
