Mark Renton, An Evening Stroll in the Mangroves (LANDSCAPE 2025)
You never know what you are going to find when you visit a new location. It was a beautiful still evening and I saw a track leading of into the bush so I grabbed a camera and embarked on the journey. The entered scenes unfolded as I progressed, and an impromptu photo project was born! Of course, the tripod and panoramic head were left in the car as this was an evening stroll, so these 150-350Mpx images were all taken handheld in fading light with a non-stabilised camera and lens. Mangroves are normally not the subject of landscape photographs but I feel the images, with their twisted and interlocking form, portray a natural beauty and reflect the stillness of the evening.
