Daniel Purvis, Architectural Portraits, Series 1 (Architecture)
A series of 6 architectural images (full set includes 10) which serve as portraits of various overlooked locations that provide a textural focus of buildings and landmarks. These images seek to play with our perceptions of perspective and space, sometimes flattening depth to construct what appears to be a flat plane, such as image 3, or image 6 which makes a short three story building appear as a canyon. These are not composite images and were crafted using camera and lens only (though I am very particular about editing my black and white to maintain a strong black and white presence while maintaining the depth of texture).

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
