These images represent the aspect of Japan that visually appeals to me. A seamless melding of tradition and modernity. An view of the past in what was once a thriving town on a vital transportation route, a tarnished view from 100 years ago of what the future may have held, and a scene of today that feels like it carries these earlier traditions forward.
