Manuela Richter, Bhutanese Scenes 2 (Travel (2019))
Bhutan takes one on a journey like no other. In many ways it felt like time stood still for centuries. Not just its amazingly hand crafted buildings, statues, temples and fortresses, but also its inhabitants and their daily routines. Buddhism meanders through every nook and cranny that seem to exist. Whilst a novice to Buddhism may not understand and relate to its philosophy, it however charms its way to ones heart and leaves the often bewildered visitor to thoughts about compassion, humility and respect for living beings.
