Amanda Stuart, Big Brother (PORTRAIT 2023)

This young boy, a typical cheeky 9 year old, poked his tongue out at me as I took his photo. Later, he offered to calm his baby brother who was unsettled. He told me I could take his photo if I wanted. I like the contrast of the normal little 9 year old and the responsible son, aware he can calm his baby brother, even when his mother cannot.
