Suzanne Nelson, Breathe - The Living Desert (Single Shot 2020)

As I left him, sitting quietly, alone in his car, I ventured to the top of the rocky outcrop to take this image. An image symbolising my father's downwards journey with Emphysema. As my father stands, hunched over...struggling to hold on to life, his lungs, a barren landscape....no longer nurturing, the ceiling of his life like tendrils, closing in. The living desert.
