Peter Barrien, Bridging the Generations in Bhutan (Portrait (2018))

Bhutan is a country with one foot firmly in Buddhism and the old traditions, and another trying to navigate a path to Western ideas. While in Bhutan I set myself a task of reflecting their culture through portraits of the male generations. These images reflect the bridge between the elders as guardians of this ancient culture, and the young taking tentative steps towards their future.
