Skye Auer, Burned tree abstract series (Landscape 2020)

These images were taken in the Errinundra National Park, East Gippsland, just days after fires ripped through the cool green gullies of the rainforest that covers the once beautiful Errinundra Plateau. They represent the turmoil of emotions I experienced driving through a forest, still on fire in the drizzling rain, so much beloved to me, and so much a part of my connection to this area, turned inside out by fire - from a Peter Dombrovskis natural splendour, to an Edward Burtynksy manufactured horror.
