Petra Hughes, Bush Stone-Curlews at Dusk (ANIMAL 2025)

As the evening draws to a close, I often see this Bush Stone-curlew couple standing at the edge of the path amongst the tridex daisies. The light filters through casting shadows and illuminating the daisies like stars. They watch quietly as strangers wander past, oblivious that this is their home too.
