Natalia Ladyko, Childhood Domes & Dreams (ARCHITECTURE 2025)

Where land meets starts, the Brisbane Botanical Gardens has had these two dome buildings since the beginning of time. One is a tropical rainforest that used to house butterflies and fish - "The Butterfly House". The other transports you from Meer mortal to spirit, blasting you out of the dome and into "outer space" - the Planetarium. Both magical places to visit as a child. No butterflies or fish exist there any more, and I haven't glazed into the starry heavens on a blue sky day in many years. Memories are magical.
