Tracey Hazelden, Children of Vanuatu (TRAVEL 2023)
A day in the life of three Ni-Vanuatu girls revealed an interesting insight into their culture. The first image of the set was taken at "The Black Sands" on the island of Efate where a small child sat on top of rich volcanic sandbags destined to be sold and collected for use in the building trade. The second image is of a child drawing in the sand while her family worked in the fields collecting coconuts, fruit and tending to their vegetable gardens. The third image portrays a young girl waiting on an island beach for her father who was on a fishing canoe outing to source food for their family. All images were shot using my Nikon Z6ii camera.
