Renee Doyle, Colours of Costa Rica (Animal 2020)

The variety of species of birds in Costa Rica is truly outstanding - around 850 different species - the colours are amazing and beautifully vibrant. The male Resplendent Quetzal grows twin tail feathers during the mating season which can be up to one metre in length! I simply can't decide which was a favourite for me, but the Quetzal, Keel-Billed Toucan and Hummingbirds were amongst my favourites.
