After a long lockdown I ventured to Melbourne city to celebrate my birthday. We found ourselves suddenly in the midst of an anti-lockdown, anti-vaccination protest. My ten year old daughter was terrified but as a History teacher I reassured her that it was a sign of a healthy democracy. It was a very interesting time historically for Melbourne and demonstrates well the unrest resulting from one of the world's harshest lockdowns.
