Terence Tong, Cuttlefish Facades (ANIMAL 2024)
The Australian Giant Cuttlefish are known for their ability to change their skin colour and texture to communicate with each other. They are also able to use this ability to camouflage with the surrounding sea grass allowing them to hide from predators or prey. I captured these three photographs in Manly, Australia. It shows how spectacular and different a cuttlefish can look depending on the situation. These were taken whilst freediving.
