Lena REMY, Cuttlefish mating (ANIMAL 2022)
Two mourning cuttlefish photographed mating. The female (left) spreads her tentacles to let the male (right) know that he is welcome to mate. During mating, the male will deposit his sperm into receptacles located near the female's mouth. A few seconds later the transfer is complete and the two animals promptly separate.
