Juan Ortiz, Danses Occitanes (Memories) (PORTRAIT 2021)

After many years living abroad, during 2019 I returned to my hometown during the Summer town festival. I had the opportunity to see the traditional Occitan dances presente by a local group. I immediately felt transported to my childhood. The music, the energy of the dancers and the colors of their costumes. Like a cloud of chaos and order at the same time mixed with the scent of coca bread and muscatel which are distributed in the town square during the dances. Small moments that become memories that you take with you forever. Memories that you cherish and bring always a mile to your face.
