Jannico Kelk, Dark Flight (Animal 2020)

Bat photography is extremely difficult, requiring patience, persistence, intimate knowledge of the subject and the camera. Using a combination of motion sensors, timers and multiple flashes all working in unison I was able to photograph some of Australia’s least known animals. These photos were taken over several months at remote caves and tunnels over the east coast of Queensland.
