Mieke Boynton, Day and Night (Landscape)

In the Kimberley, the harsh, bright sunlight causes such huge contrasts between light and shadow that I've become accostomed to only venturing out at sunrise and sunset to take photos. Although most of my photos are taken during those brief moments of "golden light", these photos weren't. they were all taken when the sky was either clear and bright during the day, or deep and dark and freckled with stars. Aerial photography and night photography are quite distinctive genres and they've become very popular, so it can be a challenge to capture the landscape in a way that "stands out" from the rest. I'm always up for a challenge.
