Mick Jones, 'Different Strokes' (PORTRAIT 2023)

These are images that make up part of three separate ongoing projects that I have been working on. 'Doug' is a 99 year old WWII veteran that participated in my 'Reluctant Heroes' veteran portrait project. As a veteran myself it's a deep passion. I want to provide participants and their families with quality timeless images that commemorate their service. 'Matt' is a part of my 'Pictureman' project, an opportunity for tattoed people to showcase their body art and validate their commitment, pain, and expense of their body art. And I love to photograph characters. Always looking to connect with subjects for environmental portraiture opportunities. I enjoy capturing and showing a connection to their personality. Jye's cowboy persona made a perfect subject.
