Theresa Lee, Dogs' Worlds (BLACK & WHITE 2023)
These portraits are part of a series I am currently working on in my local neighbourhood. How dogs see us fascinates me. I try to imagine how the world looks from a small dog's perspective by getting low to photograph them with their humans' in frame. Through high contrast black and white photography we can better appreciate the leading lines created to illustrate the close bond between each of my subjects. Compositionally I chose black and white to convey a non-hierarchal relationship between canine and human.
