Marc Alexander, Dragons Down Under (ANIMAL 2024)

There is a vibrant fairytale world beneath Australia's southern coastline, a place where Seadragons roam free. The life of a male Seadragon can be treacherous, especially considering they take on the responsibility as the guardian of their future offspring. The Leafy and Weedy Seadragons are generally quite accepting of a human presence although patience and a respectful distance is required to swim amongst them. During certain times of the year, they become even more colourful as they carry a clutch of eggs on the underside of their tales. Around 8 weeks later the new brood of Seadragons will hatch and drift off silently into the blue.
